Pinault's name in Europe is quite strong as an activist investor, as evinced through the market moving based upon rumors of his interest in Vinci.
Vinci, the world's biggest construction company, rose 3.5% on speculation that activist investor Francois Pinault may be seeking to increase his stake in the company.
